I have known Aridhas from 2008-2009. It was Vetrimaaran sir, who introduced Aridhas to me. When I was working in Adukalam, I used to go for training with Vetrimaaran sir. My journey with Aridhas began in 2008 when as a new mother I was battling Vit D and
calcium deficiency after a year of feeding my baby. I had many performances lined up
and was getting exhausted with all the rehearsing. Ari put me on a customised routine
that quickly put me back on track. Very soon, I found myself regaining muscle tone and
feeling energetic. What followed was five years of consistent progress. Ari’s routines
included strength training, weights, Yoga, cardio and cross fit. And more importantly a

I started my post pregnancy fitness journey with Aridas (within 5 months after delivering my second child). I trained with him consistently for more than 6 years after that. My journey with Dr. N K Aridhas began two years ago when consultant sports and preventive nutritionist Shiny Surendran referred me to him. A former national athlete, his vast credentials consisting of multiple degrees, 4 masters, and 3 international courses in physical education from institutions all over the country and abroad, turned to be very reassuring in trusting the recommendation. He seemed like the right choice as my personal trainer to handle my fragile fitness condition owing to his expertise and multi-feathered hat.
For those who don't know me, I'm a post-transplant patient on long-term steroid medication. At the time, I was physically weak, also diagnosed with cervical spondylosis and a simple task like getting out of bed was enormous. Therefore, one could say my level of fitness was pushed down to a zero.That was when I began this quest for fitness, right from the very bottom.

The gym and the trainers played a very important part of my life. As I prepared to enter the world of matrimony
I could not have gotten in shape without the help of my personal trainer Aridhas.
Like the many of us after 40 when we see the weight gain and significant waist size increase, i have taken various efforts including new year resolutions, fitness cente membership. All these did not help me as i lacked consistency in my efforts during which time i steadily progressed in weight gaining. Mr.Aridass was recommended to me through a friend who was training with him. He brought with him exactly what i was missing in terms of consistency and a workout plan which would uniquely suit me especially after my major total hip replacement surgery which i had to undergo after a major road accident. Transformation does not happen overnight. It take time - hours upon hours spent on training, eating and putting health above all else. Having said that, Aridhass has been instrumental in my transformation journey. I joined up with Aridhass during early May 2020. I signed up an 8 week program initially, The first 2 weeks was a painful experience, but as my body got used to it, I noticed the changes. I definitely had more energy, and I also started to shed some serious weight. I didn't really alter my diet too much, perhaps I became a bit more conscious of portion size, but that was all. At present, I have lost just over 8-10kgs, and I look slimmer, fit & shaped and feel great! Moreover, I will continue to get trained under his guidance. Aridhass is a great motivator, and happy to alter the various exercises to suit. The great thing is, we all started because we had similar goals, either get fit, lose weight or both. “I have been training with Aridhas for more than a year now. I started off initially and then felt bored to work out alone and moved to “quad “. My main passion was to do long distance running. I was told by many that quad was the “ go to place “ for improving my endurance. So I quit and joined quad . Quad was great . I continued to run with the guidance of a running coach. Not sure where I went wrong but I sustained a major injury and could barely walk. It was during this time I tuned my attention to Aridhas because he constantly kept motivating me. He kept saying that” I want to see you at the starting line of a FM soon” . I needed that motivation at that point of time. So I decided to blindly trust his schedule and workouts. All during lockdown he was coaching me via zoom and than again in person. He is very sincere and commited to his work. Being a doctor I keep thrusting my basic knowledge on muscle power and endurance on and off. I am Nithya and I am a marketing professional in the IT industry. I came to know about Dr. Aridhas through a relative and contacted him to chart out a weight loss program. Through his guidance, I lost 14 kgs in 7 months, which included diet plans and around 80 personal training sessions in the gym as well as through Skype.
A change in lifestyle and work led to weight gain of almost 20kg above normal weight for my height. Initially I did not bother much about it, but inspite of various activities like cycling, badminton and MMA classes, there was no change in weight.
When we consulted Dr. Aridhas, the first thing he requested was a blood test report along with a fitness examination. It showed a borderline levels of thyroid and high cholesterol. So the first step was to bring about a change internally and bring the levels down. With a strict diet and exercise routine, there was a major change in a month when the follow up test was taken.
At the start of workouts, it was very difficult for me to keep up as my stamina and fitness levels were low. But consistency with the routines given helped and slowly I started noticing that I could achieve the targets and not feel the same level of exhaustion as was the case at the start of the program.
The lockdown initially brought a halt to the classes and we resumed after a month online to achieve the target weight. An interesting combination of diet and exercise routines ensured a huge change in the scale numbers.
The best part about the journey was the motivation and accountability Dr.Aridhas ensured from my end. I used to be very hesitant to check my weight earlier, but the numbers and the changes I used to see changed that fear and became a major factor to achieve the goal. Even when stages came where the weight was not decreasing inspite of workouts and diet, he was very positive and supportive and ensured that I did not give up out of frustration. He also ensured that I know the process and how each change is significant and answered every question patiently.
The workouts given were varied and there was always something new to try or new levels to achieve. Dr. Aridhas also motivated during the personal training sessions to stretch to tougher levels and always kept them engaging with personal and humorous anecdotes. He always emphasised on the importance of holistic change and to look at the overall picture instead of just one aspect of weightloss.
The last 8 months has brought about a huge change in my attitude towards fitness and weight loss. I have learnt a lot and enjoy the transformation process that has been happening. I have also started eating mindfully and the happiness when your favourite clothes start to fit again or when you realise you need a smaller size is one of the major highlights! Now I am looking forward to losing the last few kgs from the scale to achieve the goal and maintain it with all the knowledge I gained in this journey thanks to Dr. Aridhas.
My Weight Loss Story from size 3XL to L'
Giving birth to a baby is a lovely feeling and equally wonderful is losing all the post delivery weight gain and getting back into shape. Though it has taken me two and a half years to make a start and quite a few months after I kick started, the results have been unbelievable. I have lost a whopping 31 kgs and dropped from size 3XL to size L In 9 months.
All thanks to Dr.N.K Aridhas and his team, the man behind this transformation, my fitness expert and mentor. I have known him since 2016 when he helped me in my weight loss for the first time when I was already overweight following my first pregnancy(2012) and also a miscarriage(2014) and even after joining the gym I could not make a big change. I got introduced to Dr. Ari who trained me personally and I lost 15 kgs in 3 months and since then, he has played a crucial part in my health, diet and fitness. This weight loss medically helped me concieve again.
I had my second baby in 2018 and the weight gain during and after the pregnancy this time was alarming, but I decided to take it slowly as I enjoyed my time with the baby. Unfortunately, the 2020 lockdown added fuel to the fire and I found myself bloating too much. I started worrying about my weight and not being able to fit into my clothes worsened the situation. I made up my mind to start working on my fitness towards the end of last year.
The journey started with a comprehensive blood test report, other medical history and 3 view photos of self submitted to Mr. Aridhas. Subsequently, He provided me with a well crafted meal plan with no stringent restrictions, but controlled portions. Unlike many others he insisted that I eat 7 meals a day. I enjoyed everything from paneer, mushroom, aloo paratha, idly, dosa, white rice, a variety of veggies to eggs and sandwiches. The workout plan included cardio, functional, zumba, yoga and strengthening spread across 6 days a week. The diet and workouts changed periodically according to the requirements. He kept a day to day check on my weight and regularly interacted with me on diet and exercise to know how comfortable I was. I could see visible results in a month. However, it is very natural for any fitness or weight loss programme to have its own break even points and I also experienced these breaks when the weight was stagnant and would not move and that usually happened to me after every 7 to 10 kgs loss. During these times, a different approach/small changes like the star table where you record your core activities, weekly targeted walks starting from 20 km a week to 50km a week, increased intensive strengthening, change in workout timings, 4 to 5 days break etc were made and these changes motivated me to go further and also made me competitive and consequently the weight started moving again. I felt a lot lighter and this became a part of my lifestyle rather than just a way to lose weight. The whole process and the positive outcome not only made me sanguine but also increased my level of confidence when people started complementing these changes, they were in awe of my transformation and this obviously motivated me to do better.
Mr. Aridhas is an expert in his field and has changed many people's idea and attitude towards fitness. Right eating and regular physical activity is the key he believes in. He always insists that getting healthier and fitter is what we need to work on and the weight loss will reflect gradually which I witnessed in my case. Together we have been through this task for quite a few months now and I am well pleased to share that I have lost 31 kgs. All thanks to him for the expertise and the customised training.

Last but not the least, I would like to thank, appreciate and congratulate myself for not giving up. During these lockdown times with husband and two young kids full time at home where our attention is always required, an extended family with 3 elderly people to feed, preparing my diet, absence of a maid due to the pandemic and the need to manage the household, believe me life hasn't been easy. Still, I made some time everyday to look after myself and get this far. I also went through tough times, felt depressed, but I used to remind myself as to whyI started this in the first place and that kept me going.

I was overweight since school days. However, my professional career with long desk-job hours made things more badly in my late thirties. I have tried to reduce my weight over years in all sorts of ways.
Life was restrained, restrictive, and dull. Life became joyless with the continuous thought of increased weight and problems associated with it.
Fortunately, I received the contact of Aridhas Sir from my friends. He understood my situation and my requirements. We had long conversations to discuss my lifestyle and potential ways to address my requirements. He made it very clear that he will be going to tell about a healthy lifestyle in totality, which will require discipline and commitment and there are no shortcuts!!! However, I have seen miracles with his golden touch in my life.
He prepared a diet plan and training routine for me. He took proper time to explain it and the logic behind it. Once I have started following my diet & routine then within a week I was able to see the drastic progress. Aridhas Sir was continually in touch with me over the phone and WhatsApp. I have started losing weight 3-4 kg in a month. I was Within 1-2 months, I gained good confidence, great feeling and then things became easier. After 7-8 months, I have achieved my targets and now planning to set new targets! !!
The routine was initially given for 6-8 weeks. Thereafter, plans were updated based on my progress and new requirements. I was updating every day my weight progress and periodically pics from different angles.
One important thing is that I am based in Himachal Pradesh and Aridhas Sir in Chennai, we were having training sessions and interactions thorough WhatsApp video calls and I never felt that I am missing anything in particular. Technology has changed our lives in communication as well as learning.
All these I was able to do with my normal professional working hours and family commitments. I have lost only weight during this process!!!

Started training with Aridas and his assistant over a period of 3 months. I was given a strict and healthy diet to follow throughout my weight loss journey with intense workouts. Lockdown has been a blessing to me. From 5 years I have gained weight and unable to reduce due to various reasons.
My sole inspiration is Neha. She is a friend of mine and I came to know about Aridhas from her. He was her trainer and I have seen her weight loss journey which motivated me to connect with Aridhas. She was always there to support me during my journey motivating me and trusting in me and telling me that I can do it.

Distance was never a problem with us with me staying in Gujarat and aridhas in Chennai I have lost 12 kgs. When we started he asked for all the necessary data to guide me. He was always there to guide me on my diet and what exercises. I was allowed cheat days also once in a while as he knew that food is my life.
I had never thought that I would be able to lose weight and specially inch loss with my thyroid but it happened through continuous guidance from Aridhas.
One more achievement in 3 months - Completed half marathon - 21.6kms.

“Being a person who never ate nutritiously and who used the system/mobile a lot, the lifestyle I led started affecting my health. I developed vertigo due to the pain in my neck and started losing a lot of weight because of my eating habits.
Starting personal strength training with Aridhas sir, I was looking to mainly overcome these issues. I started training in October 2020 with a great deal of hesitation as I did not have any prior strength training experience and the doubt of whether I would be able to cope with the intensity. However, all the exercises and the diet chart were tailor made keeping in my mind my goals and current health & fitness level.
Three months later I am amazed by the improvement in my overall health, strength level as well as my eating habits. Muscle gain and the change in the way I look have been the by product of this personal training program with sir; and my main goal of overall health improvement has also been achieved. In terms of quantifying my improvement - struggling to do 1-2 pull ups with assistance & 5-6 pushups 3 months ago to being able to do 35+ pull ups & 40+ pushups now, the transformation and journey has definitely been worth it!
